He left me where I needed most,
In silence cold, like winter's ghost.
A whispered promise turned to air,
Vanished when I thought he'd care.
The road was dark, my hands held tight,
But he let go, into the night.
Now echoes fill the space he made,
A love once bright now softly fades.
